About these terms
These terms apply when you use the GDS website, and they set the general basis on which we quote for and carry out work. By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. Where a written quote for your project says something different from these terms, the quote applies to that project.

Using this website
You may browse the site and use its tools, such as the mini website builder and the project finder, for your own personal or business purposes. Please don’t:
- copy, resell or republish the site’s design, text, code or artwork without our written permission;
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
- use the site to send spam or anything unlawful, harmful or misleading; or
- pretend to be us or to be connected to us when you are not.
Concept designs and demonstrations
GDS is relaunching, so the designs on the Work page are original concepts created to show design range. They are not client projects. The businesses, names, products, prices and copy in them are made up, and any resemblance to a real business is coincidental. The mini website builder produces illustrations to help you explore ideas. It isn’t a finished website or an offer to build one.
Prices and quotes
Prices shown on this site are “from” prices in South African rand. They are starting points to help you plan, not fixed offers. Larger or more complex work is scoped and quoted around your goals and budget. Whether VAT applies is stated on your quote.
A written quote sets out what is included, the price, the timing and how payment works. It stays open for the period it states. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before we do it.
Projects and agreements
- Starting a project. A project begins when you accept a written quote. Your acceptance can be by email or by signing, and we will confirm what we have agreed.
- What you provide. You’re responsible for the text, images, logos and other material you give us, and for making sure you have the right to use them. We may need timely feedback and approvals from you to stay on schedule.
- Third-party platforms. Many sites are built on third-party platforms, such as Wix, and use services like domains, email or payment gateways. Those providers set their own terms and prices, and we aren’t responsible for changes they make.
- Care plans. Monthly Care plans cover what is described on the pricing page for the plan you choose. The plan’s start, notice and payment terms are set out in your quote.
- Retainers and ad spend. Monthly social media and ad management plans cover what is described on the pricing page for the plan you choose. Ad spend is paid separately, directly to the advertising platform, and is not part of a retainer fee unless your quote says otherwise.
Intellectual property
The design, text, code, graphics and logo of this website belong to GDS, or are used with permission. You may view and share links to the site, but you may not reproduce it beyond that.
Ownership of the finished work we build for you, and of any third-party material in it, is set out in your written quote.
No guarantees of results
We aim to do careful, professional work. This website and its tools are provided as they are. We don’t promise the site will always be available, error-free or free of interruptions. Search rankings, traffic and sales depend on things outside our control, including search engine changes, competition and how a business is run. We can improve your chances but we can’t guarantee a specific result.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, GDS isn’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost data or lost opportunity, arising from your use of this website or from information on it. For paid work, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the work that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or any other law that cannot be limited or excluded, including liability for our own gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.
Links and third-party services
This site may link to or rely on other websites and services, such as Google Fonts. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy, and how the site stores data in your browser is explained in our cookie policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply to your use of the site from that date. They don’t change a written quote you have already accepted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. We would always rather sort a problem out with you directly first.
