What a barbershop or salon website has to do
People looking for a barber or hairdresser want a handful of answers, fast: what it costs, when you are open, where you are, and whether they need an appointment. A site that answers those in the first screen wins the booking. A site that hides them behind a gallery of photos loses it.
- A clear price list. Haircuts, beard trims and add-ons, with the prices that apply, including specials such as school-boy or pensioner rates.
- Opening hours that match reality, including split hours and public holidays.
- Walk-in or booking information. Say plainly whether you take walk-ins, or add online booking from our Structure package.
- Directions and a map, with a Google Business Profile so you show up in the local map results.
- Real photos of your work and your shop, plus a prompt that makes it easy for happy customers to leave a Google review.
- A WhatsApp button, because that is how most customers prefer to ask a quick question.
Details that make a barber site stand out
For the barbershops we have built for, we added things such as a style finder that helps a customer decide which cut suits their head shape and hair type, a services page with a full price board, and a Google review prompt after the visit. For a multi-shop group we built one clear booking number with a shop finder, and for one shop we built the whole site in Afrikaans for its local customers.
What it costs
- Foundation, from R4,500, enough for most single shops: five pages, price list, hours, map, WhatsApp, contact form and basic SEO.
- Structure, from R9,500, for online booking, a blog and advanced SEO, or a shop with several branches.
- Google Business Profile setup, from R800, so you appear when people nearby search for a barber or salon.

Does a barbershop need a website if it has Instagram?
Yes. Instagram shows your work, but a website answers the practical questions (prices, hours, location) and ranks on Google when people search for a barber near them. The two work best together.
How much does a barbershop website cost in South Africa?
A GDS website for a single barbershop or salon typically starts at R4,500 with our Foundation package. Online booking, a blog and multi-branch features come with Structure from R9,500.
Can customers book online through the website?
Yes. A booking system is included in our Structure package. If you prefer walk-ins, the site can simply state your hours and policy clearly and add a WhatsApp button.
Can my website be in Afrikaans?
Yes. We have built a barbershop site entirely in Afrikaans, and sites can be in the language your customers use.
